On 7-9 August 2019, Climate Change International Technical and Training Center (CITC) under Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization) (TGO) together with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and Office of Natural Resources and Environmental Policy and Planning (ONEP) organized the workshop on “A Circular Economy as Transformational Pathway for Combating Global Climate Challenges” at Pullman Bangkok King Power.
The objectives of the workshop were to understanding on the outcomes from global climate conferences which are the emerging challenges for national development,
to understanding on approaches to promote climate actions through circular economy and sustainable development and develop networks with stakeholders in Asean Member States (AMS) and international experts through sharing knowledge, experience and best practices on addressing climate change. There were 46 representatives from 10 ASEAN countries include Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Philippines, Lao, PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
In this regards, Asia Pacific Office, United Nations Environment Programme, Japan International Cooperation Agency, United Nations Development Programme, Ambassador of the Republic of Finland in Thailand, The United Nations Industrial Development Organization, SCG Public Company Ltd., ONEP and TGO delivered a lecture on concerned as well as country presentation and experience exchanging between experts and training participants. In addition participants observe a case for the innovation for sustainable value chains by SCG Experiences, Bangkok.
