“Training on Greenhouse Gas Inventory Management and Application of the 2006 IPCC Guidelines for ASEAN Countries”


          Climate Change International Technical and Training Center (CITC) under Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization) (TGO) together with Ministry of Natural Resource and Environment co-organized the “Training on Greenhouse Gas Inventory Management and Application of the 2006 IPCC Guidelines for ASEAN Countries” during 21-23 June 2017 at Mercure Bangkok Siam Hotel.

          The objective of the training were 1) to provide knowledge on GHG Inventory management and the 2006 IPCC guidelines 2) to learn and exchange information on lessons learned, barriers and issues related to sustainable GHG inventory development and management in ASEAN 3) to explore possible solutions to solve such barriers and 4) to initiate networking among GHG inventory related stakeholders through CITC networking platform.




          There were 40 representatives from 8 ASEAN countries include Cambodia, Indonesia, Philippines, Lao,PDR, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. In this regards, Greenhouse Gas Inventory expert of Japan delivered a lecture on “Background, current situation and trend on National GHG Inventory development in ASIA” and expert from IPCC task Force on National Greenhouse Gas Inventory delivered a lecture on “Overview of 2006 IPCC Guidelines for National GHG Inventory - General Guidance and Reporting” The training was organized successfully with interactive discussion sessions and information and experience exchanging between GHG Inventory experts and training participants.
