Peer Review on Low Carbon Society Development: LCSD for Local Policy Makers of Climate Change International Technical and Training Center (CITC)

Climate Change International Technical and Training Center (CITC) organized the peer review of the curriculum on Low Carbon Society Development for policy makers in Thailand. The curriculum was developed by the cooperation between CITC and the Japan International Cooperation (JICA). In this regards, the Director of Capacity Development Office (TGO) Dr. Jakkanit Kananurak was the chairman and the Assistant Senior Official of TGO, Ms. Apaphatch Hunsiritrakun kindly introduced the project overall. Also the JICA expert team lead by Mr. Satoshi Iemoto and Mr. Masahiko Fujimoto joined the peer review and presented the curriculum.

The purpose of this peer review is to assess the quality and the appropriateness of curriculum by the reviewers who are specialists in environment and climate change from various organizations both government and academic representatives such as the Department of Local Administration, Office of International Cooperation on Natural Resources and Environment, Department of Environmental Quality Promotion, The National Municipal League of Thailand, Prince of Songkla University, Kasetsart University and Thammasat University. The comments of the reviewers will be used to develop the efficiency of the curriculum.

Peer Review Greenhouse Gas Inventory Management Curriculum Development of Climate Change International Technical and Training Center (CITC)

Climate Change International Technical and Training Center (CITC) organized the peer review of the curriculum on Greenhouse Gas Inventory Management Curriculum Development for the central government practitioners. CITC align with Faculty of Engineering, Chiangmai University to developed the curriculum by the academic experts from various university. The purpose of this peer review is to assess the quality and the appropriateness of curriculum by the reviewers who are specialists in environment and climate change from various organizations both government and academic representatives such as the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, Department of Industrial Works, Pollution Control Department, Office of Agricultural Economics, Thammasat University, Mahidol University and Kasetsart University. The comments of the reviewers will be used to develop the efficiency of the curriculum.

“Training Needs Assessment Workshop on Climate Change Mitigation in the land Transport Sector” Organized by CITC and GIZ

Climate Change International Technical and Training Center: CITC in cooperation with German International Cooperation (GIZ) organized Training Needs Assessment Workshop on “Climate Change Mitigation in the Land Transport Sector”. The workshop was held during 2 - 3 July 2014, at Training Room, Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (TGO), Bangkok, Thailand. In this regards, The Deputy Director of TGO, Ms. Natarika Wayuparb and The Director, Programme on Cities, Environment and Transport, ASEAN/German Technical Cooperation, Mr. Roland Haas kindly offered opening remarks to welcome all participants. Also Dr. Jakkanit Kananurak stated the objective and expected outcome of the workshop. In this event the audiences were from various organization expertises in the field of Climate Change Mitigation in the land Transportation Sector, low-carbon planning, city planning and climate change includes expertise in academic sectors. The speaker was from GIZ Team Leader of TCC projects, Mr. Sven Callebaut who are specialize in conducting of Training Assessment.
